About Me

My name is Kimber McCalla, and as you can guess, I'm a Ravenclaw.  I'm also a High School Librarian on a mission to help get books into not just the students' hands, but the teachers' hands as well.

 

The idea for #BookedByARavenclaw came to me after I began presenting book talks to the librarians and teachers in my school district.  I present 15 new-ish books every semester to the educators who come to my training, but I read WAY more than 30 books a year.  I decided that since I'm already reading all of these fabulous books, I may as well Blog about them and help spread the word about their greatness.

There is something a bit different about my Book Blog and Recommendations though.  I don't do negative reviews on this blog.  I just don't, they are just not my thing.  I can count on 1 hand the amount of bad reviews that I have written in my life and I still feel guilty about those few.  That means, every book I blog about on this site is one that I read and I enjoyed for one reason or another.  I would much rather write something positive and put a smile on someone's face than tear someone's work down and make them feel bad about putting their story out there.
